Harmonica great and elder statesman of the Blues,
James "Snooky" Prior passed away on October 19, 2006
he celebrated his 85th birthday just a month ago.

Dang! I was just thinking about getting him up here to Springfield to play for us at the Alamo. He loaded me up with solos when I played with him. The King of the Mississippi Saxophone givin' it up for a tenor man.
Well, I guess we're going to have to get his son, Richard (Rip Lee) up here instead. I've been listening to his CD pretty frequently recently. He can "pitch a boogie woogie".
